Ibiza climbing; it’s not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves.

Confident, experienced adventurers will find challenges in the free climbing limestone faces and the many bolted routes. Most are located in secluded bays on the quieter, more rugged north coast, but the well-known Buda crag is in the south west of the island and offers multi-pitch sea cliff climbing routes.

The Atlantis quarry is a stunning location for climbers and explorers alike. Long abandoned as a quarry, Atlantis has become affectionately known as Ibiza’s lost city. There are bolted climbing routes here along with amazing rock formations, pools, rocks and holes to explore. The trail to Atlantis is steep in places, but it’s well worth the effort to reach this most unusual and exciting location.

Climbing out on the cliffs is much more difficult in the heat of the Ibiza high summer, but a number of multidisciplinary indoor spaces have opened on the island for budding climbers. These centres welcome children and adults, with tutored experiences for individuals and free climbing options to hone the climbing skills at any time of year and and in the evening.
