Slide into the white island’s water parks

The Aguamar water park has become something of an Ibiza institution, providing a fun day out for all the family. Located in the bustling area of Playa d'en Bossa, Aguamar is the biggest and most popular water park on the island. Definitely not just for children, Aguamar features seven sets of thrilling rides and slides with a diverse range of action-packed activities for everyone.

Head to Kamikaze or the Black Hole for the fastest slide experience the park has to offer. The Spiral slide is perfect for younger children and those seeking the thrill of bigger rides like the Black Hole, but without the more extreme feel. Other more moderate rides include the Spiro Tubo and Rio Ventura, along with a range of fast foam slides and more conventional multi-coloured straight slides. Children and infants also love the dedicated paddling pool. This offers a safe space for children to play and splash around in and can be seen from all around, so even the smallest of little ones can be independent.

Lawn areas offer dry spaces for children to play in, as well as being superb little suntraps for those all-important sunbathing sessions. Changing areas, showers and lockers are all in place too. Guests are welcome to take their own picnic into Aguamar, but there’s an on-site restaurant, a lively bar and café for lighter snacks and drinks.

A newer entrant to the Ibiza water parks is Sirenis Aquagames on the north west coast of the island, at the Seaview Country Club outside San Antonio. Again, family-friendly facilities cater for everyone from the very smallest through to the most active teens from May to October. This club features a number of exciting slides, up to 12m in height and with other, slightly more sedate options too. An area dedicated to 4-10 year olds is pirate themed and boasts ten slides with four splash zones. The shallow infants’ pool offers a safe space for the youngest water explorers. There are shady palm trees and plenty of sunbeds for parental relaxation. Day passes to Sirenis Aquagames can be for use of facilities only or can provide an all-inclusive service for food, drinks and snacks.

With their safe settings and non-stop action, Ibiza’s water parks are a great alternative to a family day at the beach. Parents can relax under the Ibiza sun, safe in the knowledge that their children are protected and secure having endless fun.
